▏An Artistic Journey of Embracing Connection and Self-Exploration

“What I want to express is the beauty of caring for the vulnerable and showing compassion for one another, without the worldly hierarchy,Kim mentioned during an interview with Colossal. “Through embracing, touching, or leaning on each other, I have highlighted the meaning of connection and warmth.”

Consistent with her previous works, this series also focuses on the essence of self-division. Kim revealed that she recently feels more peaceful and serene, a state of mind reflected in the way her characters stretch and embrace each other.

“I also want to convey that there are many selves and different personalities within me; I am a person full of complexity, and my existence cannot be defined by a single trait,” she added. “I am always in the process of exploring myself.
