Bandit9’s latest masterpiece is a custom Ducati 821 clad in gleaming polished aluminum, giving it a striking, mirror-like finish. And enthusiasts couldn’t be more excited.
▏Sculpted in Liquid Metal
Originally built for a San Francisco collector who wanted a high-performance bike capable of tackling mountain roads—and inspired by Bandit9’s EVE Odyssey—the one-off design has sparked a limited edition run of just nine units globally.
At first glance, the Bandit9 Ducati 821 presents the illusion of being machined from a single slab of metal. Its polished aluminum surfaces transition seamlessly into carbon fiber panels, with no visible mounting hardware or panel gaps—a feat of design precision.
Every element has been meticulously redesigned and handcrafted. The LED lighting is invisible when off, the exhaust outlet subtly integrated, and even the fuel cap is machined from aluminum to align perfectly with the bike’s aesthetic. A single-sided swingarm highlights the rear wheel’s clean silhouette, while custom-made mirrors, controls, and foot pegs reinforce the concept of minimalist, functional beauty.
▏Looks That Perform
This bike isn’t just for show. Powered by Ducati’s 821cc Testastretta 11° engine, it delivers 110 hp and 65.8 lb-ft of torque—enough to hit 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds and reach 125 mph flat-out. Weighing 386 pounds dry, it’s solid, not light, but that’s the nature of a machine built with purpose—and premium materials, including a bespoke trellis frame reinforced with cast aluminum.
It rides as sharp as it looks. Up front, 43mm Sachs forks keep things stable, while a preload- and rebound-adjustable Sachs shock at the rear fine-tunes the feel. Stopping power is serious, with dual 320mm Brembo discs and four-piston monobloc calipers up front, plus a 245mm rear disc—all with ABS. And with a 16-liter tank, you’ll get around 145 miles before needing a refill.
▏A Track Machine, Reimagined for Elevation
With racing heritage at its core and a hand-built body crafted from the ground up, the Ducati 821 is as comfortable on the track as it is slicing through mountain switchbacks. Its sharp geometry, lightweight build, and rigid frame inspire total confidence—so you can lean harder, brake later, and take every corner with intent.
In Bandit9’s own words: “engineering that belongs in a wind tunnel, and design that belongs in a gallery.” The build process? Over a year of obsessive craftsmanship—six to eight months of design and engineering, then another six just to handcraft each bike. The outcome is a machine that rides like a weapon and looks like a work of art—equally suited to the canyon or the collector’s loft.
